Bank Al-Sharq S.A.S launched its activities in Syria during a gathering, on Friday January 21st 2011, in the presence of its CEO, Farid Raphaël, its General Manager, Jamal Mansour, and all its employees, in addition to Managers from its “strategic partner” Banque Libano-Française headed by its General Manager Walid Raphaël.
Mr. Farid Raphaël confirmed that this event is the first step in spreading the name of Bank Al-Sharq S.A.S. as a universal bank in Syria. “Our aim is to increase the bank’s deposits and serve our clients whether individuals or companies. Furthermore, the Bank plans to play a dynamic role on the Syrian market and be part of its economic and social development”.
For his part, Jamal Mansour declared that Bank Al-Sharq S.A.S. operates today through four branches: Malki and Shaalan in Damascus, Homs and Aleppo. “Two new branches are currently under construction: an additional branch in Damascus (Harika) and another one in Lattakia”, he stated.
